Project
Sojourners is an activist-led nonprofit with a social justice agenda, rooted at Capital Hill in Washington, DC. The brand identity emerged from a stance of unwavering strength and the aesthetic reference of the organizations original newsprint publications — which were heavily influenced by the swagger and uncouth design of the Seventies and Eighties. Ever in mind was a phrase the organization’s leader, Jim Wallis, was often quoted for — “Neither Right, nor Left, but straight ahead.”

The brand system was built in tandem with the redesign of the magazine, which was heavily influenced by the brilliant Eric Caposella.
